Martin Balaš holds a bachelor's degree in tourism management (FH Stralsund) and is a graduate of the master program Sustainable Tourism Management. He works as a freelance consultant in various sustainable tourism management projects. Within this framework he developed concepts for destination development structures, sustainability competitions, sustainability models and practical guides for various consulting companies. In addition, Mr. Balaš has been advising numerous tourism destinations and tourism companies on the TourCert Sustainability Certification. In recent years he has participated in various projects and publications on sustainable tourism at the HNE Eberswalde. His interests are in the area of sustainable destination management, corporate social responsibility (CSR), certification and regional economic effects of tourism.
